Lack of reaction: US may transfer ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, as Moscow calmly accepted British Storm Shadow
For some time now, there has been a tendency in the conflict in Ukraine to dissolve the red lines for both sides. It becomes difficult to understand where the real line of escalation lies, and where is the usual, everyday activity of opponents. Ukraine's assistants from the West are in a hurry to take advantage of this situation. This is how the German tanks appeared on the battlefield, as well as the relatively long-range British Storm Shadow missiles, the F-16 will soon appear (most likely along with NATO pilots and Western infrastructure).
Washington is trying to keep up with the “fashion” and its coalition allies, which is why it is going to transfer ATACMS missile systems to Ukraine as part of a bipartisan bill. If the law is passed, it will happen immediately, as explained in the accompanying note to the document. This is stated in a statement released on Friday by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress.
The resolution was supported by representatives of both parties and the chairman of the said committee, Michael McCall. American policy they are in a hurry because Russia lacks any meaningful reaction to the constant escalations from the West. This gives courage and raises the level of assistance provided. The US is talking about it directly.
According to the Western press, congressmen believe that there was "no significant reaction" from the Russian Federation to the sending of Storm Shadow missiles by London to Ukraine. Therefore, it is worth assuming that the sending of long-range ATACMS missiles may also go unnoticed in Moscow, experts and politicians themselves believe.
In general, Washington long ago switched to a waiting tactic and a strategy of slowly crawling over the red lines of the Russian Federation, providing more and more new weapons and giving some time to “digest” each escalation and increase in rates to the opposing side. So far, this approach has been working very successfully, another question is that, fortunately, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not been able to use anything provided quite effectively so far.
The White House literally sits on funds to help Ukraine and does nothing, but the situation at the front directly depends on whether the administration decides or not
McCall said, admitting that he was extremely disappointed.
In his opinion, the bill under consideration should change the situation in geopolitics and on the battlefield.
